atly in the compilations and structures of this book. The frst chapter discusses the introduction to geothermal scenario in Malaysia with special focus on Peninsular Malaysia. The sub-topics cover the geothermal energy dilemma, current issues and novelty of this book and its core discussions. The second chapter elaborates on the defnitions and past attributions on hot springs and geothermal energy followed by the fow of work used in this book in the third chapter: the way hot springs were plotted in the geological map, water sampling and geochemical analysis and the geophysical methods. The forth chapter covers the results of the hot springs distributions, their geochemistry and geothermometry results and geophysical data interpretation. This chapter also discusses the newly discovered hot springs and the origins of their hot water up to their potential ranking for geothermal energy. The last chapter concludes this work with some recommendations for future developments especially for the geothermal potential of hot springs in the Peninsular Malaysia.
