Malaysians must be able to know themselves and explain their own life of peaceful co-existence and prosperity in a diverse Malaysian nation. Our environment, apart from our own diverse society, as we interact with Asian and the western civilisations through the Strait of Malacca and the South China Seas as the platform of globalised civilisation since time immemorial has defined our political life. As a small, maritime and diverse society that depend on trading and exporting industrial products to other countries to give employment and make a living demand ceaseless endeavour and the pursuits of tolerance and excellence to do well, get ahead and forge a united bangsa Malaysia. Our shared history and culture of the Malay Archipelago and the super-diversity civilization be integrated and embedded as the national heritage in defining our own civilisational canopy of indigeneity of the Malay, Orang Asli, natives Sabah and Sabah as the bangsa Malaysia of our diverse nation. Bangsa Malaysia which should be comprehended as beyond ethnicity and religiosity and based on justice, inclusivity and participatory democracy be the thrusts of the platform of integration of governance and development in defining our contemporary political life to share prosperity and the nation. The acquisitions of local knowledge, debunking colonial knowledge and research data within a scientific framework to understand our changing society and nation will nurture and strengthen our national conscience in enabling us to think of national unity, national integration and to forge a united bangsa Malaysian together.
