Successful healthcare interoperability in the public sectors is mostly associated with the ability of the service to provide a platform for data sharing among users. With the recent advances in IT, cloud computing can provide an alternative way to access and manage health records based on the use of online software applications for multiple users. With the advancement of current technology, othe industries have continuously move towards transforming ordinary applications into doud applications. Thus, many healthcare organisations started to come around to the idea that this technology could benefit them as well. Cloud service providers often make the effort to increase their investments in critical areas like security to attract healthcare organisations that are interested in upgrading their service to patients. The use of cloud computing in the healthcare sector in Iraq is still in its infancy stage. However, the health records of public hospitals in Iraq continue to increase in volume and variety.
